Another card...2 in one afternoon lol

Once I'd finished the hedgie card (below) I still fancied crafting so I found a Tilda image that was already coloured in and was just begging to be used!

I teamed her with a pink oval and a gorgeous floral paper from the Forever Friends Pink Parfait pad, ribbon from my stash and flowers inked with a ink pads. I finished off with some pink gems from my stash for some bling and a stamped sentiment.

Thanks for looking,

My challenge entry for Penny Black Saturday

I saw this week's challenge at http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ and the theme is In the Garden, and you have to use a Penny Black image or large sentiment.

I just got these adorable PB hedgie images and thought they would be perfect for this, so I got colouring! I had a bit of a mind block while trying to find papers that worked, I finally settled on this one from a Forever Friends pad. I also added lace, a round sentiment, and some flowers!

This card will also be entered in for the Pear Tree Designs challenge for this week, and Secret Crafters...Pear Tree want flowers on the card, and Secret Crafter's theme is buttons & blooms.

My first Challenge blog entry!

I entered my first Challenge blog this week at Pear Tree Designs, we were given a sketch to follow and I really enjoyed it!

I decided to use some of my lovely 12x12 paper as the backing paper and embossed a pink panel to match. A Tilda image was coloured with my Promarkers to coordinate with the clours in the paper....I'm loving her blond hair!

I think I stuck really closely to the sketch....can't wait for the next sketch on Monday!

Last one for today!

I had this image coloured in and I was desperate to use it, as it's so cute! After making the get well card, I sat down with my paper stash to have a play!

I've coloured Pirate Tilda in using Promarkers, then cut her out and mounted her on a Nestie label, inking the edges. I used My Minds Eye papers that were free with a card mag a while back....I love these papers, they are beautiful! Again I followed a sketch, I love using these as they really help with layout mind blank lol!

Get well card for a friend

I made this card today for my friend who's laid up with tension headaches at the mo...get well soon Dawn x

I used a Forever Friends Pink Parfait sticker for the main image, and followed a sketch I found on a blog, layering up with Nestie labels, one embossed in my Cuttlebug.

I also played about with the flower, inking up the petals with a pale pink ink, I love the effect.

Birthday card for my Father In Law

I made this card for my father in law's birthday this weekend...I find male cards quite hard to do at times, but I found this digi stamp at the Digistamp Boutique and thought it would be perfect for his birthday...and for future Fathers Day cards lol.

I coloured him with Promarkers, even giving him grey hair like FIL, and used some free papers that came with Making Cards magazine.

Hello!!

Well after a bit of deliberating, I've decided to set up a blog for my cardmaking.....I have been inspired by all the other fab blogs out there! This will be a little journal for myself, and to show my creations...maybe even the mishaps lol.

A little about me: I'm married with 2 girls and have tried many crafts over the years, including cross stitch, jewellery making (not good at this one lol), and now cardmaking! I've been making cards for just over a year and have also just discovered the joys of rubberstamping & colouring with Promarkers....another addiction!!!

I would appreciate any comments on my cards, as a newbie to cardmaking,I love the feedback.
