Been playing with some peeloffs....

Little Claire's have sent us DT members some peel offs to sample and play with...and they are really cute! I must admit I don't usually use peel offs but I loved the owl ones straight away! I made a couple of cards with the sheet and I am pleased with the way they turned out!

Firstly I made a spinner card using some papers from the Papermania Secret Garden pad, I even had some with little owls on! I cut the aperture into my card usng my nesties and cut a circle on which to put the owl on. I used some strong thread to suspend the owl in the aperture, and I coloured him in with my promarkers. There is a peel off sentiment on the other side of the circle and the ribbon is from my stash. Some gems finished the card.

The second card was made with a trio of owl peel offs, again coloured in with my promarkers and mounted onto label nesties. I went for a DL card for a change, and used some paper from a magazine freebie featuring owls....seemed perfect! I added some lacy trims and inked the labels with some green ink to match the backing paper. I used a peel off greeting from the sheet and embellished the card with some gems for extra bling!!

Birthday card for my lovely mum

It was my mum's birthday today, so I'd made this card earlier in the week and can now show it lol.

I had this lovely fairy stamp from Lili of the Valley to play with so I stamped her up and coloured her in with my trusty promarkers. I used some papers from a Forever Friends pad and layered onto pink cardstock. I used my Martha Stewart punch for the lacy border and made a bow with some ribbon from my stash. I added glitter to the fairy's wings & skirt for extra sparkle. I added a punched butterfly also glittered and the roses are from my stash. I printed the greeting out on the pc and die cut with my Nesties.

I am entering this card into a few challenges: Craftilicious whose theme is Birthdays, Pollycraft Monday Challenge whose theme was also Happy Birthday, and My Time to Craft who wanted Checks this week!

Wallet card for my best friend

It was my best friend's birthday today and I had an idea of making a wallet card for her to hold some stamped images....it turned out to be easier than I'd thought!

I used some backing papers from the free My Minds Eye paper pad from Cardmaking & Papercraft mag...love these!! The image is Thomas with flowers from Lili of the Valley, coloured in with my promarkers. I added some ribbon with a punched lacy border and embellished with Stickles, some gems & some flowers from my stash. The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley one too.

I followed the sketch at Pear Tree Designs for this week's challenge Sketch with a Twist...ribbon being the twist, I used 2 lots...one on the border and one to tie the card together! It also fits this week's challenge at Cupcake Crafts which is Cats and Dogs....I'm hoping Thomas fits this perfectly!

A New baby card for a friend!

I finally have a card to show after doing secret projects for Little Claire!! I heard that one of my daughter's friend's mum has just had a baby boy so had to make her a card...and try out the Baby Cuttlebug folder I bought on Sunday hehe :)

I used Papermania's Sweet Nothings pad for the backing paper, and matted with some sky blue card. I embossed a panel using the Baby folder and brought out the embossing with some blue ink. The image was a digi from Cardmaking Downloads (I think...) and was coloured in with my promarkers. I diecut it into an oval with my nesties. The flowers and brads are from my stash, and the sentiment is a stamp from Wild Rose Studios' cute greetings set.

I am entering this card into a couple of challenges: C.R.A.F.T challenge who want a card for babies/kids and One Stitch at a Time whose theme is Digi Madness!

Nothing to show so far this week....

Just wanted to let you know I haven't gone AWOL from my blog.....I have been busy playing with some lovely DT stamps which I have received from Little Claire! I've left the housework untouched since Monday, suppose I'd better do some tomorrow though....ugh!

I can't say too much about the stamps but they are fab, and I am having a lot of fun creating with them!!

Hopefully I will manage to get a couple of cards done for some challenges later this week, I have some lovely new papers calling my name!!

Last card for today-my first Xmas card of 2010!!

This was my 3rd card and I was feeling festive after tidying & organising my stash yesterday....I found all last year's Xmas stuff I hadn't used, I have loads lol :)

With this week's challenge at Just Cute Bears of decoupage in mind, I found this cute little Forever Friends decoupaged topper which I had to use! I matted a square of blue snowflake paper onto some silver mirri board which was stuck onto a 6x6 square card. I cut a label from some embossed snowflake cardstock and highlighted it with some Diamond Stickles. The topper was double mounted onto label nesties too and snowflakes added for a festive touch! The sentiment was a freebie Xmas stamp set from a mag last year and the silver snowflakes are Anita's 3d Dimensional stickers.

I am also entering this card into another challenge: the ABC Xmas challenge blog whose theme is Noel or anything Xmassy...hope this fits!

Card number 2....

I still had a thank you card to make for my youngest's teacher, so I thought I would get this one done too.

I used a Lili Of The Valley image which was coloured in with Promarkers and added sparkle with Stickles. I used some paper from Wild Rose Studio's Milton pad which I inked with beige. I mounted this onto yellow card and added some white ric-rac from my stash. The sentiment is from Wild Rose Studio's Cute Greetings, and die-cut with my Nesties. I finished off with some flowers from my stash and I added the teacher's name to the little envelope...my daughter loved that part lol.

I used this week's sketch from Lili of the Valley's Challenge blog, and it also fits this week's challenge at Cute Card Thursday whose theme is School's Out...this card is summery and for a teacher...hope that counts!!

Wow....3 more cards!!!

Wow, I am so pleased that I've got so much done this week card-wise....and the housework is all done, so I've been crafting guilt free!!

The first one is a birthday card for my niece made with this week's Paperplay challenge in mind.....well actually it was for last week's which was a card for a child but that ended yesterday!! Thankfully this week asks for a number...done!

I used a really cute CC Designs image which I adore, coloured in with Promarkers, and I added some Stickles for extra sparkle. I used Wild Rose Studio's polka Dot paper, and embossed a white panel which I inked with pale pink to bring out the detail. I also added some gems to the panel. I added a punched butterfly and coloured a peel-off for the sentiment, which I diecut using Nesties.

I'm also entering this card into a few other challenges: Alphabet Challenge blog whose theme is J for Jewels, and Craftalicious who want to see Cute!!

More to come...thanks for looking!

Another Teacher Thank you card.

After making my choccy Tilda card, I thought I'd get another one of the teachers' cards done as it's only a few weeks until the kids break up. Luckily I only have 3 to make...and 2 are done!

I used the sketch from Moving Along with the Time's challenge for this week.....and I decided to use a Pepper & Friends stamp my friend lent me to play with. I coloured it in with my promarkers and used a freebie paper from one of the mags last month. I added a lacy border and used Card Candy for the embellishments shown on the sketch. The stamped sentiment is a Lili of the Valley one, diecut into a circle.

This card also fits the challenges at Pear Tree Designs who want to see Animals, the Crafty Pad whose theme is Animal Fun.....I hope cute little Pepper the dog counts for these!

Chocolate Tilda....

I sat down to play this afternoon while the house was quiet...I'm enjoying the peace now before the kids break up from school!! This is the first of today's creations.....

I based this card on the first challenge on Totally Tilda which was Chocolate Tilda...so browns & creams! I coloured in Tilda with my promarkers and used papers from the Daisy & Dandelion Somebunny Loves You pad. I added a little sparkle with stickles to her apron and added a flower & gem to the corner. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the lace was a new addition to my stash last week!

I followed the sketch from this week's Totally Gorjuss challenge and it also fits the Stripes challenge at I love Promarkers and One Stitch at a Time's challenge of lace, ribbon or a bow.

A New Baby card and some exciting news!!!

I made this card for my mum to give to my cousin who has just had a baby boy. I went for an easel design again (love this style of card lol) and I used a cute topper from Papermill that I fell in love with. I layered it onto some embossed white card, and the backing paper was from a Papermania pad I've had for ages ( and used loads!). I added some Card Candy in the corners, and cut a label with the baby's details using my Nesties and mounted that onto pale blue glitter card.

And my news.....I've been invited to be a member of Little Claire's Design Team....I was so excited when I found out the other night, took me ages to get asleep afterwards lol. I am really looking forward to the challenge and it should be great fun. Their stamps are gorgeous and they have some beautiful stuff on their website!
