My first DT card for Pear Tree Designs.

Here is my first DT card for Pear Tree Designs....it's Challenge 13 this week and the theme is Best Wishes...nice & simple! There is a prize up for grabs from the fab Lilac Lemon Designs...so come and join in the fun!

My card is using a lovely Tilda image that I coloured to match my backing papers...a K&Co pad which I have been dying to use. I used some sage green pearlescent card for matting and layering. Tilda was mounted onto shapes cut with my Nesties and peach pearlescent card. Some pearls and lace were from my stash and the sentiment stamped on the corner is a Lili of the Valley one.

Please check out the blog, and my fellow DT buddies' lovely work, and play along for the chance to win a prize!

Birthday card for my daughter...from my mum!

My mum asked me to make a birthday card for my eldest who's 11 this Thursday (OMG already...she's growing up way too fast!)....so I chose Kiki with cupcakes from Pollycraft and made another easel card.

I coloured Kiki in with promarkers, and added some stickles to the cake's icing. The spotty paper is from Wild Rose Studio's Polka Dot pack, not sure which pad the check one came from though!! I matted with white card and drew some faux stitches around the image. The ribbons and gems are from my stash, and the MS punch came out to play again for the border. The sentiment stamp is a Lili of the Valley stamp.

I am entering this into a few challenges too: Crafty Cardmakers whose theme is Birthdays, Crafty Catz whose theme is animals (hoping a bear counts??), and Ooh La La whose theme is Spots & Dots!

My daughter's birthday card...take 2!!

Here's the second attempt at a birthday card for my eldest...she saw the last one I made for her, but as it happens, I like this one more anyway!!

I used this lovely Sugar Nellie image which reminded me a lot of her, she loves to bake, always ahs done..and I coloured her to match some My Minds Eye papers, which I love!! I used some Bazzill cardstock for matting & layering and used my Nesties to cut the image & mount into ovals.
The buttons, gems, and thread are from my stash, and the lace trim is my MS punch. The sentiment is a computer printed one cut into a label shape.

I used the sketch at Moving Along with the Times, rotating it slightly to put the buttons at the left. This card also fits the challenges at Charisma Cardz which is Easel this week, and Cupcake Crafts, whose theme is Lace...I'm hoping my lacy trim counts :)

Birthday card for my Nephew

I had this card to make for my nephew who's 12 tomorrow..saw this digi at Pollycraft and thought it would be perfect for him.

I used some My Minds Eye paper from the Wild Asparagus pad and used some Bazzill card for matting and layering. The digi was coloured in with promarkers in camouflage colours to tone with the paper...my friend came to my rescue with the green as I didn't have the "right" shade...thanks Paula :) I turned down the corner to show the lovely reverse side of the paper and embellished with a button from my stash. I finished the card by stamping nephew along the bottom with a new Papermania stamp in black ink.

I am entering it into 2 challenges...Pear Tree Designs who have a Male theme this week (and my last card for the challenge before I start creating for their DT!), and the Secret Crafter whose theme is It's a Man's World.

Last Xmas card...for now!

This is another Xmas stamp from Little Claire, I liked this one because it was quite different from others I've seen and can be coloured in so many ways!

I went for a pastel colour scheme for this as I had these Xmas papers calling my name....it's a DCWV pad in mainly pinks. I coloured the image in with promarkers, adding some glitter to highlight the baubles & presents. The sentiment is another Lili of the Valley stamp and the pearls are from my stash. The snowflake was cut using my new Marianne Designs set and highlighted with some glitter and a gem.

I will be definitely playing with these stamps some more, they are all so lovely, and stamp so cleanly & crisply.

Another Xmas Stamp from Little Claire!

I love this stamp, I think it's my fave, he's just soooo cute!!!

I coloured this little fellow in with Promarkers, adding some highlights with a white gel pen. I matted him onto red and green card and used some papers from a Papermania xmas pad. The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley stamp and the flowers & gems are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges too....Creative Craft Challenges whose theme is Animal Antics, Moving Along with the Times who have a Xmas theme this week, and By the Cute & Girly whose theme is also Animal Antics!

Another Little Claire Xmas Stamp!

This card is also featuring one of the new Little Claire's stamps "Star of Wonder"....and again, such a cute stamp which I loved using!

I coloured the bears in with promarkers and made the star twinkle with some Stickles. The paper is taken from the Daisy and Dandelion A Winters Tale pad, and matted onto dark blue card. I also embossed a panel of the card with a snowflake folder and used gems to highlight the flakes. The ribbon is from my stash and I added an Anita's dimensional snowflake to the corner.

I am entering this card into a new challenge blog (for me anyway!)...Our Creative Corner whose theme this week is Embossable!

My cards using the new Xmas stamps from Little Claires's!

I have been playing with the lovely new Xmas stamps from Little Claire's and they are adorable, and stamp up up so well!! The characters are all so cute....the reindeer is my personal fave! Please check out the website here for some of their other lovely stamps & crafting goodies!

So here is the first card I made using one of the stamps....a cute snowman with a westie....love this stamp! I decided to make an easel card with it, the papers are from a Papermania pad from last Xmas. I coloured the snowman and westie in with Promarkers, added some sparkle with Stickles, and cut it into labels with my Nesties. I used my lacy punch to make a border which I wrapped with some ribbon from my stash. I finished the card with some gems & a bow and a festive red button!

I am entering this card into Crafty Catz's challenge whose theme this week is buttons & bows...I have one of each on this card :)....hope that counts!!

Another one of today's cards...I've been a busy girl lol!

This was supposed to be for my eldest's birthday but my youngest managed to spoil the surprise so it looks like I'll be making another...might use another Codi image though! Grrr kids!

Anyhoo...the card is made using a digi stamp from Pollycraft called Codi Stylin...it reminds me so much of my daughter, she's a real tomboy with some girlie thrown in! The paper is from Wild Rose Studio's Polka Dots pack and is matted onto pink cardstock. I used my MS lace punch for the border and the ribbon is from my stash. I coloured Codi in with my Promarkers and added some Stickles for extra sparkle and mounted her onto oval Nestie shapes. The flowers and buttons are also from my stash, and the sentiment is a Lili of the Valley stamp.

I am entering this card into a few challenges: Pear Tree Designs whose sketch I followed, Creative Inspirations whose theme is Anything Goes, Creative Card Crew whose theme is Cute & Girlie, and Cute Card Thursday whose theme is Whateva!!

Been making some cards with Little Claire's August Stamps!

Little Claire has released a new stamp set for their monthly club offer...you pay £7.50 a month and receive a stamp/set plus all the materials to make the project card and some other project ideas...check out their website for more details here This month's set is great for those male cards that crop up, and would suit any man!

For the first card, I used the hammock stamp, and paperpieced it to match one of the backing papers. I coloured in the main image with my promarkers and decoupaged the beer glass & jeans for more dimension. The backing papers were from K & Co's Hopscotch pad and I embellished the card with card candy and some buttons from my stash. The sentiment is one of the stamps from the set.

The second card is the second stamp from the set...a quirky washing line with boxer shorts lol! I paperpieced the boxers to coordinate with the backing papers, and inked the panel with green ink and embellished with some brads from my stash. The backing papers are from the same pad as the card above and the sentiment is also a stamp from the set. Some more card candy finishes the card....now off to Little Claire's they go!!
