It's challenge number 34 over at Pear Tree Designs this week and the theme is flowers...as many as you like! Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish and the DT were given some lovely digis to play with!
I chose to use this cute little bird..the digi's called a little bird told me...he was a joy to colour with my Promarkers. I decided to go for spring colours to go with the flowers on the digi...the papers are My Minds Eye Quite Contrary and I've used blue card to mat the layers. I added a lacy trim using my MS punch, and the flowers, ric rac, and pearls are from my stash. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.
I am hoping this card has now found it's way to Donna over at Pear Tree Designs...for some reason Yahoo decided not to send my card yesterday afternoon...so its not on the challenge blog yet :(
The challenge this week is Blue, which I hope I've covered with this card. I have had this Gorjuss stamp for a while but have never inked her up (terrible I know!), and I coloured her in with my Promarkers. The papers are a mix of My Mind Eye and Papermania and I have distressed the edges with my distressing tool. I added a flower from my stash and the sentiment is a Lili of the Valley stamp. The ribbon is a My Minds Eye one from my stash too.
I have been wanting to make some simple birthday cards to keep in my box for those moments when I need a card for one of my daughter's friends...so here is the first one.
I wanted to use one of these new stamps from Little Claire's, as they are so cute. I coloured this cutie in with Promarkers and teamed her up with some new papers from Papermania's Back to Basics pad. I followed a sketch saved on my laptop which worked well with the image. I added some highlights with Stickles and the flower is from my stash. The ticket at the bottom is from Pink Gem Designs and has been inked with some lilac ink. Voila....a simple but sweet card for any birthday that comes our way lol.
The theme over at Pear Tree this week is a free for all....and this week's sponsor is One Stop Card Craft who are offering £10 worth of Stickles! Pop over and check it out!
For my card, I decided to use this image which I've had for a while...not sure why it's taken me so long to use, she's so cute! Daisy has been coloured in with promarkers and I've added some Stickles to the flowers in her hair. I have used some papers from a K&Co pad, which I have matted with green card. I mounted the image onto Nesties, and embellished the card with a flower and lace from my stash. The sentiment has been stamped using a Lili of the Valley set.
I have decided not to leave all my Xmas crafting so late this year as it was quite a rush in December with preparing for the school fair and trying to get all the cards done for family and friends! Hopefully by starting in January, I should have quite a pile by next Christmas lol.
So here's my card....I have used this cute little digi called Snow Baby. I've had it for a while but just left it in a file, so had to use it. I've coloured him in with Promarkers and glittered up the fur trim with Stickles. The papers are from a freebie pack I downloaded ages ago and they have been inked around the edges. I have embossed the circle behind the image and used Nesties to mount the image & sentiment. I die cut some snowflakes from glitter card and used some snowflake gems from my stash. The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley one.
I've had a great week, got quite a few cards done...some to sell at a school fair and some to get my card box filled up for 2011! I have made the most of a quiet weekend to craft and colour to my heart's content!
This is one of the cards I made yesterday...and he fits quite a few challenges, which is fun! I have decided to use a Lili of the Valley stamp called Thomas...such a cutie! He's been coloured in with Promarkers and I've added some Stickles to the flowers. I followed a sketch I had saved on my computer and used some papers from a Wild Rose Studio pack, which I've distressed! I've embellished the card with some roses, Card Candy and a sentiment stamp from Lili of the Valley.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
It's the first challenge of 2011 over at Pear Tree Designs....and it is also my first card of the year....my mojo took a little break over Xmas and took a little coaxing to come back!!! Argh!
Still,it returned...and with it came this card! The theme this week is Circles, so I've used my Nesties for that part! I've had this image for a while and wanted to use it,she's been coloured in with Promarkers and highlighted with Stickles. I used some papers from one of my fave My Minds Eye pad and cut the lacy trim with my Martha S punch. The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley one and the flowers are from my stash. I embellished it with lots of pink gems from my stash for extra bling.
I would also like to enter this card in a couple of other challenges:
I am a married stay at home mum who loves cardmaking, stamping and all things papercraft!!! I have recently discovered the joys of stamping and Promarkers and I am now addicted! I also have way too much stash but can't stop collecting more!!
