Pear Tree Designs Challenge 23-Halloween!
This week's challenge over at Pear Tree Designs is Halloween, and we were given some lovely digis to play with by Robyn's Fetish...this one especially caught my eye!!
I went for a distressed look as I was desperate to play with my Distress Inks that I bought at the craft show. I coloured the digi in with promarkers as normal, matted onto black card, and inked the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink. I used more of the Halloween papers from the Daisy & Dandelion pad I used last week, again inking the edges. I made a little sign to hang on the gate using part of one of the other digis we were sent, and attached it some string and a brad. I finished off with some buttons from my stash!
I hope you like it...it was a nice distraction from all the items I've been making for some craft stalls me and my best friend are doing before Xmas....I seem to be knee deep in card and ribbon every day at the moment lol....but I'm loving it :) Hence the reason I'm not posting on here as often though!
I am also entering it into a few other Halloween challenges:
Craft Challenge: Spooky
My Time to Craft: Halloween
A Spoonful of Sugar: Boo!
Creative Inspirations: Halloween/Fall

Pear Tree Designs Challange 20- Free for All!
This week over at Pear Tree Designs, the theme is Free for All, so we wnat you to enter a card/project of any theme! The prize this week is from Lilac Lemon Designs, so pop over and check it out!
I love all things Halloween and really wanted to use this digi from Pollycraft for this week's card. I coloured her in with Promarkers and added some white highlights with a gel pen. I used papers from a Daisy & Dandelion Halloween pack I bought last year...love the colours of these! I then embossed a label with my Halloween Cuttlebug folder and highlighted it with some stickles. I mounted my witch onto this with some foam pads for dimension, and finished off with gems from my stash. The sentiment is also from the D&D pack.
Thanks for looking!

Stash-tastic!!!
Me and my best friend Paula spent a lovely day at the Creative Crafts for Christmas at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle today...and despite less stalls selling cardmaking stuff than last year....I managed to come home with a bag bulging with goodies! Paula was much more restrained than me...she always is lol.
Anyway, I started with some essentials like blades for my fave knife and some 6x6 cards...I'd completely run out! Then I decided to treat myself to some Distress Inks that I've wanted for ages, some Gorjuss stamps, ribbons, gems, funky xmas cardstock, backing papers, Cosmic Shimmer Mist, a couple of promarkers and various other bits!!
Can't wait for next year's stash trip...we're doing the Harrogate shows instead, as the one at the Arena isn't as good as it used to be sadly...and we need more goodies, and more money to buy them with too!!!

I treated myself to a cute stamp from Pink Gem Designs which I thought summed up Autumn perfectly...conkers and leaves lol! I coloured him in with promarkers and matted up with my nesties. I used my fave My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow papers, which I inked for a distressed look. I embellished the card with buttons and thread from my stash, and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Birthday cards for my daughter
It's my youngest's 7th birthday today , and she had requested a High School Musical card in an easel style, which of course I was happy to do!! Gotta love a girl who knows exactly what she wants!!
For Jess's card, I found an image on the net of Troy (her fave character) and printed it onto photo paper, and mounted onto dark pink card. I used some papers from the Wild Rose Studio Polka Dot pack. I added some gems and ribbons from my stash, and the sentiment was a freebie from somewhere, can't remember where though! I inked the edges to tone with the papers. The number stamp was one from a Dovecraft set and was cut into shape with my nesties.
She loved it...and I got a HUGE hug lol.

Pear Tree Designs Challenge 20 card.
This week's theme over at Pear Tree Designs is Good Luck, so a card is required with the sentiment somewhere on it. Our sponsor this week is the Character Cafe, so pop over and check out the prize on offer!
Onto my card...I had a bit of a mind block at first as I didn't have many stamps which I thought suitable for a Good Luck card, but then I remembered this cute digi that I haven't used.... a cute owl from Digistamp Boutique. I used some green papers from a Papermania pad called Secret Garden and matted them with some olive card. The digi was coloured in with promarkers and cut to shape with Nesties, and some stickles added for sparkle. I embellished the card with some buttons from my stash and used a Lili of the Valley stamp for the sentiment.

October Club Stamp from Little Claire's.
Finally I can show these samples I made using the new stamp from Little Claire's....it is the stamp for October's club and is so cute! It has some very cute details to it and stamps up really well.
The first card I made was a 6in square card. I coloured the image in with Promarkers, and cut it into a label shape with my Nesties, and matted with red card. I inked the edges with beige ink and added stickles for extra sparkle. The backing paper is from a Dovecrafts pad and the ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley one. Some red gems completed the card.
I tried something a little different with the second sample....an acetate fronted card. I cut the front section away from a 5x7 card blank and attached a piece of acetate to the front. I coloured the image in with promarkers again, and used my label nesties for matting. Stickles was added to the owls hats and snowy bits for sparkle. I embellished the corners of the card with some swirly peel offs and cut a snowflake out of glitter card. The paper on the inside of the card is a Papermania one from last year.
